We have mead. We have experimental bottles. We have things aging, resting, and generally doing mysterious alchemical things.
What we don’t have yet is retail bottles for sale. So instead, we’re doing something a little more fun!

For 2027 Q1, Founding Members will join us for an exclusive Mead Ups while our first official batches finish fermenting.

Membership during this early stage is $150 for this quarter.

Then, once bottles officially release in Q2 2026, memberships transition to the regular Badger & Bird Mead Society price of $95 per quarter.
However—those early supporters will forever be recognized as Founding Society Members of The Badger & Bird.
Which means permanent bragging rights. Duh!

If, by some cosmic accident, you are the 0.001%, we will comfort you with additional mead.

Mead Ups (Members Pickup Parties)

Every quarterly release comes with a Mead Up—our members-only pickup gathering.

Yes, you’ll pick up your bottles.

But the real fun is what’s being poured.

At Mead Ups, members can sample:

  • Experimental meads not available for purchase

  • Pilot batches and flavor experiments

  • Barrel and aging samples

  • Honey varietal tastings

  • Possible future releases

Many of the meads you taste at Mead Ups will never be bottled, which means members get to experience the wild side of the mead-making process.

You may even help decide what becomes the next official release.

Pickup Schedule

Mead Society releases happen four times per year.

Typical pickup months:

• March

• June

• September

• December

We’ll announce each release ahead of time along with the details for that quarter’s Mead Up.

Each release includes a curated mix of Badger & Bird meads:

  • 2 Core Release- Seasonal or flagship mead made with Texas honey.

  • 1 Mead Society Exclusive- A bottle reserved just for members of the flock.

Because we make our meads in small batches, some of these releases may never return once they’re gone.
